In 2010, in Paris, our place of residence at the time, with a couple of newly settled Parisian friends

in the Swiss Romandy region, the idea of opening a restaurant was born. It was a real challenge,

as none of us had any knowledge of the intricacies of this industry. After taking the time to find

the perfect location, in June 2014, we set our sights on La Lagune. The establishment, located on the Old Stand port in Lutry, along the shores of Lake Geneva, offered breathtaking views of the southern shore of Lake Geneva, with its stunning sunrises and sunsets...

Brainstorming, hiring an architect, interior decoration, branding, launch strategy, and communication each of us found our role. We established a joint-stock company, became partners,

and managed the administration and operations. The official opening took place in December 2014, after numerous adventures, and it marked the beginning of our success.

But why Cantinetta Meal? Cantinetta was chosen to evoke a sense of conviviality, like at a canteen, and Meal represents the anagram of the first letters of our respective children's names.

We opted for a decidedly contemporary establishment, breaking away from the typical restaurants

in the region. Our team consisted mainly of Italian collaborators, many from the Abruzzo region,

and others from France and Switzerland.

To stay consistent with our values, in March 2021, we made the decision

to embark on new adventures... The establishment will permanently close in 2022.
